Monotone Intaglio Prints

Black and white photograph (2001) was scanned and laser printed on vellum to produce a polymer photogravure plate.  A polyglass layer was used to achieve an embossed effect.  Printed on 'Lokta' paper which is made from the bark of the Daphine Cannabino-bush that grows in the Himalayas.

The twigs came from a dying pine tree on my land.  The paper loops were inspired by a circle of wise women at a local yarn shop.
