So I was wholly unprepared for the energy, for the intensity of the gaze, for the sheer attitude, when we finally brought two kittens home from the pound. It was August 2010. | ||
I couldn't stop watching them. So I started painting them. | ||
Here, five years later, on the eve of turning sixty, are explorations
of that single subject, as paintings in oil, primarily on canvas. I translate these creatures using color, texture, collage and abstraction. |
